We are Phil and Elia – friends since high school and both freelance young entrepreneurs. Phil works as a photographer & filmmaker, Elia as a developer for (web)apps. In 2024, we jointly founded filmstop.ch.

The idea arose from frustration: slow labs, complicated websites, and endless forms made the whole process unnecessarily tedious. We wanted to do it better – faster, fairer, and simpler.

With filmstop.ch, we aim to make the analog process accessible again – understandable, uncomplicated, and with as little effort as possible. We want to make analog photography tangible again, especially for the new generation – so that everyone can discover or rediscover the joy of shooting on film.
